Jordan Spieth's Amazing Wedge Game

This week lets take a detour from the full swing and take a look at Jordan Spieth's high pitch or flop shot.  He takes the club back on a fairly steep angle with the shaft of the club pointing down at the ball half way back.  You can also see in this photo that the clubface is wide open which will help him create more loft and higher trajectory.

If you are learning to master this shot, be sure to play the ball forward in your stance, keep your weight favoring your left side and hinge the club up on a slightly steeper angle than you would a normal swing.  It that sense, this is similar to your the swing you would use in a bunker.
