The golf course was designed by part-time Palms resident Fred Couples and Brian Curley, The Palms course is known for its fast, bent grass greens, lush fairways, a caddy program and a commitment to courteous play in under four hours. More than 2,000 mature date palms and 1,000 desert mesquite trees combine to give the layout a unique and diverse look. Three creeks wind through the layout adding a pleasing aesthetic. Members enjoy a “no tee time required” policy and may walk or ride a cart.
Extensive practice facilities at The Palms include a double ended driving range, a large practice green with bunkers and two putting greens. Both the men's and women's locker rooms feature a work out and stretching area.
Palms members and their guests can show up and get into a game daily with skills levels from mid to plus handicaps. Many Palms women members enjoy walking the course on a daily basis.
